Basket of Goodies Arrived!

This is the Basket of goodies I recently won from the contest that Beverly Stowe McClure ran for the launch of her new book Caves, Cannons, and Crinolines. Thank you Beverly for all the wonderful goodies!

This is our family cat Rustoleum but he prefers to be called Rusty. One of Rusty's "jobs" as my "assistant" is to inspect all incoming packages. He gave this one the paws up!

The Basket of Goodies consisted of:
1. A signed copy of Rebel in Blue Jeans
2. Pencils imprinted with the Rebel in Blue Jeans book title
3. A signed copy of Caves, Cannons, and Crinolines
4. Bookmarks for both books
5. A miniature stuffed dog
6. An Amazon gift card

  1. Some good stuff!
And our cats have to approve all items entering our house as well.

  3. Hi Suzanne .. congratulations on your goodie bag - I love those things .. we used to get big boxes from my grandmother at Christmas .. and just diving in was a real treat!

It's much easier in some ways to give this way .. small items - fun things .. just fun and laughter to the bottom of the basket in your case .. and very glad to see Rusty approves .. I expect he'll get inside the basket for a little sleep?

Have a good week .. Hilary

  4. Congrats on your win! It sounds like a wonderful package.

BTW, Rusty looks like our old cat (Romulus). His brother (Remus) is orange and white and likes to inspect all our packages. He likes to sit in the boxes after they're emptied if it's big enough (Romulus used to like to do that too).

    Enjoy your new books!

  5. Aw, Rusty is so sweet. I'm happy he gave the package a paws up. I hope he's not jealous of the little doggie. Rebel has a cat too.

  12. A gift basket filled with coffee and wine? Bet you'll get a lot of takers on that one!

I'm thinking of doing a contest when I reach my 50th blog post. That gives me a little bit of time to think about it.

    Have a great day!

  17. What a delightful basket of goodies. Makes me want to enter a bunch of contests. Looking forward to your reviews and interview with Ms. McClure.

Rustoleum could be a brother to my daughter's cat, Otis. However Otis would make 3 of Rusty...

  18. Nina, Rusty also wants to check all incoming grocery sacks for cat treats. : )

Hi Janet, sounds like Otis is an armload of cat! : )

    Have a great day!

  20. I just asked Rusty if he'd like his own blog and his ears perked up. Oh, no!

Maybe he'll have to settle for a page of his own or something like that. : )

  21. A blog of his own. How neat. I know other animals that have their own blogs. Perhaps Rusty can meet and interview them. :)

  22. I told my husband and son about the idea suggested that Rusty get his own blog. They thought it was cool!

Rusty seemed indifferent about it this evening, but we'll see. Maybe something in the future??
