Margot Tomes
Margot Tomes, an artist and an award-winning illustrator, was born on August 10, 1917. In 1963 she illustrated her first children's book, The Brave Balloon of Benjamin Buckley written by Barbara Wersba. Margot Tomes illustrated over 60 books during her career. On June 25, 1991, at the age of 73, she passed away.
