Thank you for the info! Sounds like a great idea . . . as a mother of a 1st grader and an almost kindergartner, there aren't enough of these (at least enough fun ones!).

I have 3 WIPs to finish, then I'm going to start my children's book. I can't wait. I never in a million years thought I could ever write for children, and then one day -- voila, the story idea came to me. I'm so excited. Feel like I've graduated.

I am developing a children's series so maybe next year. I've never written a children's book before but am looking forward to the challenge!

Thanks for letting us know. My three kids are in grades 1-5, so too old for the contest. But I love the idea. :)

I'm so glad you blogged about this! I subscribe to that magazine, but I didn't think about spreading the word. Nice job!

I would love to write for kids, but discovered it’s a lot harder than I imagined.

I think it takes a special kind of person to be able to write for the younger kids. Not sure I could do it, although I've never tried! Sounds like a great contest though!

Hi, Jane. I don't usually write for this age group becuase it is a hard age group for me, but I do have a couple of stories tucked away. Thanks for stopping by.

I wish I had my children's series finished so I could enter it. Maybe in a few months I'll be at the point I can do that.
