This will be a walk down memory lane, so to speak. The
majority of the books I will be blogging about were acquired during my son's
childhood. I will be blogging about children's, MG, and Tween books that are on
the bookshelves, with a few being found on the Kindle for PC. The titles will
either have words that correspond with the letter of the day, will be on a
topic that corresponds with the letter of the day or both. As I'm finding a
couple of the letters a bit challenging, I may need to borrow a book or two
from the library to complete the challenge.
Today is Monday, April 30th. It is the 26th day of the Blogging From A to Z Challenge. Today's word is Zombie. Today's letter is Z.
Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies From Outer Space (and the Subsequent Assault of the Equally Evil Lunchroom Zombie Nerds)
The Third Epic Novel by Dav Pilkey
Scooby-Doo! and the Zombie's Treasure
by James Gelsey
My son liked watching the Scooby Doo! cartoons, so it was only natural he's want to read the Scooby Doo! books.

My boys are seriously into Cpt Unerpants and my oldest has just created his own comic entitled Captain Underpants and The Attack of the Talking Toilets. Nice!

My kids loved Scooby-Doo. I've just come from another blog where one of the words of the day is "Zoink!" that Scooby used to say. Don't you just love that word!
Even as an adult I still love Scooby Doo! Fun post! ~Angela

I grew up on Scooby-Doo - it came out just before I started to outgrow Saturday morning cartoons.
I think Captain Underpants is the winner for the longest title in history :)
Thanks for hosting the A-Z Challenge, I really enjoyed it!!!
Loved scooby growing up and loved captain underpants when my boys were young. We made it!! Congrats :)
I love Scooby!!!!
My son loved Scooby Doo, and still does actually. And in fact, so do I!
I really had fun reading Captain Underpants books with my boys! It was fun going through A to Z with you! Thanks Susanne! Julie
Hi Susanne .. I think most kids would curl up and cry and laugh at the Zombie books .. then create weird and wonderful 'to dos' .. to frighten their siblings and parents!
Very good ending to the A - Z - and what a great idea to correlate a range of interesting books - a useful resource ... cheers Hilary
Had to laugh at the comment that Dav Pilkey's teacher told him he couldn't spend the rest of his life writing silly books. I hope he sends her a copy of each and every one!
Now these look like zombie books I could handle. :) Congrats on completing the A to Z challenge! I've enjoyed all your selections.
Zombies are so au courant these days!
I think I would get a kick out of Captain U. !!
Congrats on finishing the challenge- I've still got to do Z....
Yay! We finished! Now let's all go take a well-deserved rest :)
I used to like all of these books/movies about zombies. This is a great post, and nice idea for the letter.

My son loves Scooby Doo books, but I haven't let him read Captain Underpants yet. I don't really know much about it. I guess I'll have to read one to see.

Great word and great classic stories. Thanks for sharing.
My son used to love Scooby-Doo as well. I never could understand the appeal. It always reminded me of a mash-up of Dobie Gillis and Marmaduke.
Congratulations on making it through the A to Z Challenge. Join us on May 7th with your Challenge Reflections post.
