Blogging From A to Z Challenge - Z

This will be a walk down memory lane, so to speak. The majority of the books I will be blogging about were acquired during my son's childhood. I will be blogging about children's, MG, and Tween books that are on the bookshelves, with a few being found on the Kindle for PC. The titles will either have words that correspond with the letter of the day, will be on a topic that corresponds with the letter of the day or both. As I'm finding a couple of the letters a bit challenging, I may need to borrow a book or two from the library to complete the challenge.

Today is Monday, April 30th.  It is the 26th day of the Blogging From A to Z Challenge.  Today's word is Zombie.  Today's letter is Z.

Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies From Outer Space (and the Subsequent Assault of the Equally Evil Lunchroom Zombie Nerds)

The Third Epic Novel by Dav Pilkey

Scooby-Doo! and the Zombie's Treasure

by James Gelsey

My son liked watching the Scooby Doo! cartoons, so it was only natural he's want to read the Scooby Doo!  books.

My kids loved Scooby-Doo. I've just come from another blog where one of the words of the day is "Zoink!" that Scooby used to say. Don't you just love that word!

I grew up on Scooby-Doo - it came out just before I started to outgrow Saturday morning cartoons.

Hi Susanne .. I think most kids would curl up and cry and laugh at the Zombie books .. then create weird and wonderful 'to dos' .. to frighten their siblings and parents!

Very good ending to the A - Z - and what a great idea to correlate a range of interesting books - a useful resource ... cheers Hilary

Had to laugh at the comment that Dav Pilkey's teacher told him he couldn't spend the rest of his life writing silly books. I hope he sends her a copy of each and every one!

My son loves Scooby Doo books, but I haven't let him read Captain Underpants yet. I don't really know much about it. I guess I'll have to read one to see.

My son used to love Scooby-Doo as well. I never could understand the appeal. It always reminded me of a mash-up of Dobie Gillis and Marmaduke.

Congratulations on making it through the A to Z Challenge. Join us on May 7th with your Challenge Reflections post.
