Reflections Post for the Blogging From A to Z Challenge

Today's blog post is about my thoughts on the Blogging from A to Z Challenge that I participated in last month.

I know that a lot of people will be sharing Reflection Posts, so I want to make this post short, sweet and to the point.

What I liked about the challenge:
- I met lots of new people
- I found some really cool blogs to follow
- I got some ideas for future blog posts
- My blog gained about 35 new followers during the challenge
- That my hardest post of the challenge (X) was also one of my most favorite posts to write.

What I disliked about the challenge:
- That on a couple of the blogs I stopped at, I couldn't figure out where the comment link was

What I learned from the challenge:
- To choose a theme and stick with it, so I can have blog posts written up before the challenge begins
- To schedule my posts, so it is not the first thing I'm worrying about doing when I wake up
- Stress less and have fun  : )
- That I want to do an A to Z challenge next year!

I want to say THANK YOU to Arlee and all the co-hosts for everything they did to make the A to Z Challenge run as smoothly as it did.

I had trouble finding the comment box on some posts too. I forget to add that to my negatives. This was the first time I'd scheduled posts and it helped no end.

A theme is best, and not just for the host - visitors know what to expect when one has a theme.
Glad you had a good time!

Yay us! We did it. Woohoo! Woot!

Loved your stress less and have fun. I had some posts scheduled, but not all. I was upset with blogger. It was awful this year. *kicks logger in behind* Ahhh. That felt so good! :-) Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

The theme really did make it easier. And the comment box on a few blogs, I absolutely couldn't find either. Glad to know it wasn't only me :)

I enjoyed the themes too.

I loved the themed blogs. There were so many fun ideas out there.

I had trouble finding comment boxes on some blogs also. But, that was aminor thing compared to the fun I had. I'm sure I'll want to do this again.

Whereas X was my easiest post of the Challenge, and thus, my favorite post to write. Probably because it was the only one I didn't take seriously.

Congrats on making it through, and best of luck on those ideas for future blog posts!

I'd have to agree with you on every single point. And add one: Blogger profiles that go to their Google + page instead of their blog. That is more trouble than word verif.

Hi Susanne .. great points and there's certainly one blogger I can't for the life of me work out where her comment box is (and it's a new blog) ..

You're right the hosts did make the Challenge run smoothly ..

Glad you'll be doing it next year - cheers Hilary

Cruising around on remote control and trying to catch up, that seems to be a challenge in itself :)

Really liked having a theme and being able to schedule the posts. I think that meant way less stress. :)

I enjoyed your posts Susanne. As you can see, I'm still behind even after the reflections post. :)

I also encountered some blogs that weren't user- or comment-friendly or were formatted in an odd way.

I also want to do the challenge again next year.

Congrats on finishing.

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by. I need to work at getting caught up on some blog reading and stop by more of the reflections posts. CONGRATS to everyone who participated!

It was a lot of fun, I'll definitely be back for next year and hope to be better prepared! Have a great weekend :)

Someone along the way suggested they do it another month, maybe February. I have to agree. I wanted to join in, but April is a rushed month at the best of times. I was late reading many of your posts, and that disturbs me. I like to be on time for everything. LOL. Sort of neurotic about stuff like that.

Great challenge, Susanne. It was nice seeing your subject matters each time.

Congratulation on finishing the challenge. I didn't visit all blogs during the challenge but, cross my heart, I'm visiting every single one with reflection post! I am so glad my journey brought me here.

Evalina, This and that...
